The society has recognised the service of one of our long serving referees, making the transition from active refereeing to being an in-active member. Here he is being presented with his gift by the president. 

Kerrel has decided to hang up his boots after refereeing his last game just before Christmas. He has been a huge part of the society including taking part in Japan Leicestershire exchanges amongst many others. His commitment has been incredible to any game, Saturday, midweek and Sundays. 

He is still keen to coach, mentor and support the committee with his wealth of expertise. 

As a committee we decided to mark this occasion with a small memento for all his years of service to society.

Whistlers Trophy - 2024

The Whistlers Trophy is voted by referees for the Clubs that provide the best overall welcoming experience to the match officials.

The winner this year was Market Harborough Rugby Club - Paul Tilley takes the Trophy from Wayne Barnes

Ken Foster Shield -2024

The shield is given yearly to someone who has committed to facilitating Junior rugby within the county. 

It has been given to Chris Jackson

Referee of the year trophy -2024

This is decided by the Appointments Team

And it was given to Luke Thompson
